THE HEART IS DEFINITELY WILLING!
Inherent at the core of our wellness and self-care crusade is our desire to help others. The challenge simply becomes how do we keep it all organized. Just like a builder uses a hammer and nails to build a beautiful home; I encourage you to use this tool to help you build long, successful relationships with our customers and business partners.
SUCCESS IS IN THE DETAILS!
Think how special you feel when someone remembers details about something you share with them. It not only shows they were listening but that they care. So when we make the investment in knowing our customers and business partners, it will make them feel special and show that we care.
THE TOOL! Download here.
I designed the new CONTACT FORM to help us manage the details which will enrich our relationships. I caution against using it as an "interview" form. That would make the process cold and impersonal. Instead, use it to make notes as you learn things organically in the course of conversations and interactions over time. Review the CONTACT FORM before you make follow up calls to contacts and customers, touch calls with team members or respond to a message just to bring everything you already know back to the surface.
There have been many times that I've recalled a specific detail after talking with someone and felt badly that I didn't ask about their job or something going on in their life. So, I see this as a extra "brain" for storing and recalling information.
FEEDBACK PLEASE!
As you use the form, please feel free to give feedback. If there's additional information you'd like to record but there's no specific place to write it, just let me know. Your feedback will help me edit the form for inclusion in my HARVEST JOURNAL 2.0 which will go to print before the end of spring. Thank you in advance for your input.
THE CONTACT "TICKLER" SYSTEM!
For those who'd like details about setting up your contact system. You'll need a binder, A-Z tabs, 1-31 tabs, Jan-Dec tabs, and copies of the contact form.
1. Organize the binder with the numbered tab in front, the monthly tabs next and the alphabetical tabs last.
2. Where you will file a new contact form, depends on the next point of contact. Mark the form with the next date you're schedule to talk with them.
- If you are scheduled to call them on the 25th of the current month, file it under the "25" tab.
- If you're not scheduled to call them until next month, file it under the appropriate month's tab. Then when the new month starts, move all of the forms you have filed under that month to the appropriately numbered tab.
- If you don't currently have a pending next date of contact, file it under the alphabetical tabs.
Now, just keep rotating the forms based on the flow of your business!
