New Mastermind Program

IT'S ALL OF THAT AND MORE!!

All the talk of FREEDOM & INDEPENDENCE over the holiday weekend made me a little sad that the celebration may have made us SOFT. Just think about it. We typically celebrate when something is done and completed successfully.  So by celebrating our independence, it puts us in the mindset that the battle is over when nothing could be farther from the truth.

Our ancestors are done.  They fought. They died.  They worked tirelessly.  All so that we could enjoy a better life.  They passed the baton to us.  How disrespectful of us to sit back and rest on their accomplishments!  And, in many instances, take our opportunities for granted and not even try to live up to our full potential.

Watching Serena Williams claim her 21st Major Championship yesterday was very inspiring.  Even though she has been questioned, insulted and under appreciated throughout her career; she simply kept going.  Almost in an effort to diminish her talent, the media and talking tennis heads have always questioned her commitment to the game. She was too distracted with outside interests.  She was too thick and not in the best shape.  What I love is that she never allowed herself to become a reflection of who they said she was.  She just continued to "be" who she knows herself to be.

Now those same voices are singing her praises, calling her father a genius for not allowing his girls to play in the juniors which has extended their life in the sport.  They have no choice but to acknowledge her as one of the greatest!

Likewise, it's our responsibility to strive for our full potential.  Our individual vision and passions may look different, but we all have one thing in common.  

Our desire for the FREEDOM TO CHOOSE.
